Additional information
Korongo is part of the Sucafina Originals line consistent. Named after the
Swahili word for flamingo, Korongo is sourced from washing stations across Mbozi, Mbeya, and Mbinga in Tanzania’s Southern Highlands.
Carefully selected by local QC teams, Korongo offers a reliable 84+ SCA cup, highlighting Tanzania’s vibrant profile: full body, pronounced
sweetness, and bright acidity. Its accessible price supports both roaster success and farmer resilience.
This lot is IMPACT verified, meeting Sucafina’s responsible sourcing standards across five key areas: carbon, human rights, regenerative farming,
living income, and deforestation. Farmers often intercrop with food crops like corn, beans, and ginger. Cherries are hand-harvested and processed
on farm, typically pulped, fermented, and dried on raised beds for 14–20 days.
After resting in cooperative warehouses, parchment is milled in Mbozi or Mbinga and sorted by size. This AB lot contains beans measuring
between 6–7 mm.
