Tea-Coffee Barista role

Location: Lagos, Portugal.

Type: Full-time.

 

A Tea & Coffee Barista is a hospitality professional specializing in preparing and serving a wide range of hot and cold beverages, with a specific focus on mastering coffee extraction techniques and proper tea brewing. Acting as the “face” of the establishment, they are responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring customer satisfaction through fast, detail-oriented service.

– Beverage Preparation: Control of brewing techniques and equipment to craft drinks such as lattes,  loose-leaf teas, according to standard recipes.

– Customer Service: Greet customers, take accurate orders and process payments via POS systems.

– Menu Knowledge: Educate customers on different tea/coffee origins, flavor profiles, and brewing methods, providing personalized recommendations.

– Maintenance & Cleaning: Keep the workstation, equipment, and seating area spotless and sanitized according to food safety standards.

– Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels for coffee beans, milk, and disposables, reporting replenishment needs.

– Food Support: Serve complementary items such as pastries, sandwiches, and snacks.

 

Koyo expectations:

Start: ideally April-May, but subject to negotiation.
