Nestled in the heart of Kirinyaga, a one and a half hours drive from Kenya’s 
capital, is the gem Finca De Cafe. Standing proudly at 1450 meters above sea 
level, it offers breathtaking views of the majestic Mt. Kenya. Spanning 8 hectares, 
the farm is a testament to the magical blend of nature and meticulous farming 
practices. 

Harvest time is literally a beehive of activities. It is carried out twice a year from 
April to July and October to December. the cherry pickers extend their 
hands to pick only the red-ripe cherries one by one, guaranteeing the finest quality 
coffee. From there the cherries go through hand sorting to remove the unripes and 
over-ripes, which are later naturally processed. The red ripe cherries, go on to wet
processing and later drying before delivery to a dry mill.
